Growing up, Krishna developed an interest in performing and eventually decided to pursue acting. Like many television actors, her path into the industry involved taking smaller opportunities before she became widely recognized. Her early work allowed her to gain experience in front of the camera and understand the demands of television production.
Before becoming a household name, Krishna spent time appearing in smaller television projects and episodic roles. Her early career included appearances in shows such as Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Twist Wala Love, MTV Big F, Savdhaan India and C.I.D. These roles helped her establish herself in the competitive Hindi television industry.
Krishna Mukherjee Education
Publicly available biographical information about Krishna Mukherjee’s formal education is limited. Unlike details about her acting career and family, reliable sources do not consistently document the names of the schools or colleges she attended.
Her professional development instead became closely tied to the entertainment industry. After entering television in 2014, she accumulated experience through several episodic appearances before receiving the role that would transform her career.
Her early television assignments effectively served as practical training. Working on different productions gave her experience with different genres, characters and production environments before she joined the cast of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.
Krishna Mukherjee Career
Krishna Mukherjee’s Television Debut
Krishna Mukherjee began her television career in 2014 with Jhalli Anjali, where she played Sheena. She subsequently appeared in Yeh Hai Aashiqui as Sanjana and Twist Wala Love as Arshiya. In 2015, she took on several episodic roles, including appearances in MTV Big F, Savdhaan India and C.I.D.
These early appearances were important in establishing her within the Hindi television industry. Rather than immediately receiving a major lead role, she gradually built her acting experience through different productions and character types.
Krishna Mukherjee in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein
Krishna’s major breakthrough came in 2016 when she joined Star Plus’ Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. She played Aliya Raghav Bhalla, a character who became an important part of the show’s later storyline. The role brought her widespread recognition and made her one of the familiar young faces of Indian television.
The series, produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, was one of the most successful Hindi television dramas of its era. Krishna remained associated with the show until it concluded in December 2019. Her years on the programme provided her with a sustained television presence and helped establish her career beyond episodic appearances.
Krishna Mukherjee in Naagin 3
While still associated with the world of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Krishna also became part of the supernatural television franchise Naagin. She appeared in Naagin 3 as Taamsi, taking on a negative role that differed from the character audiences had become accustomed to seeing her play. She joined the series during its final episodes in 2019.
The role demonstrated her willingness to explore characters outside the conventional family-drama format. Her appearance also connected her with one of Indian television’s most commercially prominent supernatural franchises.
Krishna Mukherjee in Kuch Toh Hai
In 2021, Krishna took the lead role of Priya Raheja Singhania in Kuch Toh Hai: Naagin Ek Naye Rang Mein. The programme was developed as a spin-off of Naagin 5 and paired Krishna with actor Harsh Rajput.
The series gave her another opportunity to play a central character and allowed her to move from the supporting role that had established her in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein into a leading position within a supernatural drama.
Krishna Mukherjee in Shubh Shagun
In 2022, Krishna appeared in Dangal TV’s Shubh Shagun, playing Shagun Shubh Jaiswal opposite Shehzada Dhami. The show became her final major television project before she stepped away from regular television work.

She also alleged that she had been locked in her makeup room while unwell and had faced threats. Several television personalities publicly expressed support for her.
Producer Kundan Singh denied Krishna’s allegations and said that her claims were false, while stating that he would consider legal action. Because the two sides gave conflicting accounts, the allegations should be distinguished from independently established facts.
Krishna Mukherjee in Music Videos
Krishna has also appeared in music videos. In 2019, she featured in Guru Randhawa’s Punjabi song “Black.” She subsequently appeared in Prabh Gill’s “Ik Wari” in 2020.
Her music-video appearances added another dimension to her entertainment career and allowed her to reach audiences outside the traditional television-serial format.
